This is a training opportunity for paediatricians, GPs, psychologists, senior nurses, health professionals and medical students who work with children or young people with additional support needs.
The study day will include presentations and case studies from paediatricians and a consultant neuropsychiatrist. The aims of the course are as follows:
To give participants a good knowledge of sleep processes and the importance of sleep in the developing child, with a focus on ADHD, epilepsy and autism.
To enable participants to recognise many of the causes of poor sleep in children with additional support needs.
To assist participants in offering support to families with children or young people with additional support needs.
