We are hosting two digital workshops at the Autism Support Day, Manor Green College, in partnership with Autism Support Crawley on Tuesday 2 May. The Autism Support Day will begin from 10am, finishing 3:30pm.
Family Fund’s iPad workshops will help you understand more about how your iPad works and explore how to adapt the device settings to accommodate different needs. Our Apple Education Trainer will be running workshops at 11.15am and 1.30pm which will cover some, or all, of the following:
- Supporting reading and writing
- Developing speech and communication
- Enhancing concentration and avoiding disturbances
- Common issues with Apple IDs and content sharing
- Locating relevant apps for autistic users.
The trainer will be available after the workshop to help with any difficulties you might be experiencing when using your iPad, and to answer any iPad-related questions you have.
Places are limited so if you would like to attend, please telephone 01293 582111 or 01293 520351 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
You will need to bring your iPad to the session.
As well as the iPad workshops, there’ll be over 30 information stands at the Autism Support Day, including Family Fund. There’ll also be presentations on topics such as ‘Girls with autism’ and ‘Practical support strategies’, as well as the opportunity to have one-to-one sessions with welfare advisors and much more.
