A course for professionals working with children and adults with neuro-developmental conditions (e.g. Autism, ADHD).
Content of the course:
Understand the importance of sleep for the whole family’s health and wellbeing.
Learn about the biology of sleep.
Understand the reasons behind sleep difficulties and why they are more common in children and adults with learning difficulties.
Learn about strategies for settling children to sleep and staying asleep and strategies for enabling adults to sleep well.
The course will be delivered by Helen Cattermole and Helen Tracey, two experienced PSC Sleep Practitioners. All our Sleep Practitioners have been trained by the Southampton NHS Specialist Sleep Clinic and have a professional background in nursing, social work and education.
Cost: £25 (includes course materials). Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided. Any information discussed will be treated in confidence.
